Police appeal after delivery driver robbed in Warrawong

Police are appealing for witnesses following the armed robbery of a delivery driver south of Wollongong overnight, NSW Police say.

About 8pm today, a 22-year-old delivery man was delivering a food order to a home on Nyan Way, when he was confronted by two unknown males, one who was armed with a knife.

The males demanded money and the food. The delivery driver handed over cash and the food, before they ran away towards Wegit Way.

The delivery driver returned to work and reported the incident to police.

Officers from Lake Illawarra Local Area Command attended and are now searching for two males that they believe can assist with their investigation.

They are both described as being Caucasian and approximately 15 to 17 years old.

One male was about 185cm tall, had a medium build and shoulder-length blonde hair. He was last seen wearing a black and white coloured jacket.

The other male was about 160 cm tall with short brown hair and a grey cap.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
