Police appeal after firearms stolen during break and enter in Wellington

Police are appealing for information after the theft of firearms from a home in the state’s Central West, NSW Police say.

Between 5pm yesterday and 8.30am today, a home on Jean Street, Wellington, was broken into.

Four firearms and ammunition were stolen from a safe.

A white Mitsubishi Pajero parked at the property was also broken into and clothing was stolen.

Officers from Orana Local Area Command were contacted and commenced inquiries.

Investigators are appealing for anyone who witnessed suspicious activity in the area at the time to come forward.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stopers.
