Police appeal after hotel armed robbery in Erskineville

Police are appealing for information following an armed robbery at licensed premises in Erskineville overnight, NSW Police say.

Just before 12am tomorrow, two men wearing dark clothing and masks entered the licensed premises on Erskineville Road. One man was armed with a firearm.

Police have been told the armed male threatened staff, before taking cash and both men left in the direction of Septimus Street.

There were no shots fired during the robbery and there were no reports of injury.

Officers from Newtown Local Area Command, the dog unit and neighbouring commands established a crime scene and patrolled for the men without success.
