Police appeal after man assaulted during home invasion – Greenacre

Police are appealing for information following a home invasion that left a man with serious head injuries in Sydney’s south west overnight.

Just before 1am (Monday 21 September 2020), emergency services were called to a townhouse on Mimosa Road, Greenacre, following reports of a home invasion.

Police have been told three men, all wearing face coverings, entered the home and assaulted a male occupant, aged 36, before fleeing with his mobile phone. They were seen driving off in a silver Toyota Corolla.

The injured man was treated for head and facial injuries before being taken to Westmead Hospital.

Officers from Bankstown Police Area Command established a crime scene and have commenced an investigation.

As inquiries continue, police are urging anyone with information or dashcam footage from the area around the time of the incident to come forward.
