Police appeal after man found injured - Mount Pritchard

Police are investigating after a man was found injured at Mount Pritchard overnight.

About 10.15pm (Tuesday 7 July 2020), a 49-year-old man was found walking along Oliphant Street, covered in blood and seeking assistance from passing motor vehicles.

NSW Ambulance paramedics attended and treated the man for lacerations to his head and back, before he was taken to hospital for treatment.

Police attached to Fairfield City Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation.

Following initial inquiries, it's believed the man was assaulted by possibly two people in the vicinity of Oliphant Street.

As investigations continue, police would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or anyone who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously or any suspicious vehicles in the area.
