Police appeal after staff threatened during armed robbery in Tamworth

Police are appealing for public assistance following an armed robbery in Tamworth yesterday, NSW Police say.

Just before 8.20pm (Monday 1 October 2018), two men armed with knives, entered a licenced premises on Gunnedah Road, threatened staff and demanded money.

The men stole cash and were last seen heading toward Aberdeen Street.

Officers from Oxley Police District were contacted and established a crime scene.

An investigation has been launched and detectives wish to speak with anyone who witnessed the incident or may have dashcam vision from the area.
