Police appeal after woman assaulted - Tempe

Police are appealing for witnesses and information following the serious assault of a woman by a man in Sydney's Inner West last night.

Investigators have been told between 12.30am and 1am (Friday 21 February 2020), a black Range Rover 4WD travelling south along the Princes Highway, Tempe, stopped after it mounted the curb near Station Street.

A scream was heard from inside the vehicle, and the male driver was seen to assault the female passenger multiple times, before driving off in a southerly direction.

Officers from Inner West Police Area Command are appealing for anyone who may have dashcam footage, CCTV or information regarding the incident to come forward.

The man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, of solid build and was shirtless wearing black shorts.

The woman is described as being of Caucasian appearance, of medium build, with long blonde hair and was wearing a black one-piece jumpsuit.
