Police appeal for information after hotel assault at Louth

Police are appealing for information after a man was assaulted at a hotel in the state's north-west.

Between 10.30pm and 11pm Saturday (10 August 2019), it is alleged a man, aged 21, was assaulted during an altercation at a hotel on Bloxham Street at Louth.

Officers attached to Central North Police District were told the 21-year-old was tackled by a second man who proceeded to punch him to the face.

A scuffle ensued between multiple persons before the unknown man left the location.

The 21-year-old attended Bourke District Hospital for treatment to facial injuries.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident, who has not already spoken with police, to contact Bourke Police Station on 6870 0899.
