Police appeal for information after house fire - North Sydney

Police have appealed for information from the community after a North Sydney home was seriously damaged by fire at the weekend.

About 6.15pm on Sunday 2 June 2019, emergency services were called to a house on Ormiston Avenue, North Sydney, following reports a house was well alight.

On arrival Fire and Rescue NSW officers assisted two occupants from the home that was engulfed in flames.

Eventually officers from North Shore Police Area Command were able to determine that all seven occupants of the premises were accounted for.

The fire was extinguished with no reported injuries.

NSW Fire & Rescue investigators with detectives from North Shore Police Area Command and the State Crime Command's Arson Unit, conducted a full examination of the premises yesterday morning to try and identify the cause of the blaze.

Investigators are appealing to the public for assistance to identify any suspicious or unusual behaviour in Ormiston Avenue prior to the fire.
