Police appeal for information after man injured during aggravated break-in at Coonabarabran

Police are appealing for information following an aggravated break and enter in the state's Central West yesterday.

About 4.10am (Wednesday 24 February 2022), a man forced entry into a building on the Newell Highway, Coonabarabran.

The man then assaulted a cleaner – a 58-year-old man – before he fled the location on foot into the bushland.

The cleaner was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance Paramedics for minor injuries.

Officers attached to Orana Mid-Western Police District attended and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Police would like to speak with a man they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries.

He is described as wearing a black face covering, hoodie, pants and dark shoes.
