Police appeal for information following Melbourne robbery

Melbourne Embona Robbery Taskforce detectives are appealing for public assistance to identify two offenders involved in a robbery in Melbourne last month, Victoria Police say.

The robbery took place in a car park at the rear of an apartment building on Flinders Street when three men aged in their late teens were approached by a female and three other males, on Sunday 9 September at 1.40am.

Two of the group, a man and a woman approached the three victims and asked them to the hand over any property or money they may have had on them.

The victims refused to comply with their demands and were set upon by the man and woman and the other two men.

The victims were kicked and punched before the offenders ran from the scene.

During the assault one of the victims had his mobile phone stolen.

One of the men is perceived to be of African appearance, aged between 20-25 years, 165-175cms tall, with black hair and an unkempt beard.

The second man is perceived to be of Caucasian appearance with short blond hair.

The victims, who do not wish to be identified, have assisted investigators in compiling computer-generated images of two men in the group.

Investigators are appealing for anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers.
