Police appeal for information following Metro Ring Road collision

Police are appealing for anyone with dashcam footage to come forward following a three-car collision in Thomastown this afternoon, Victoria Police say.

The collision occurred just after 2.15pm between the Edgars Road off ramp and the eastern side of the Edgars Road overpass in the west-bound lanes of the Metropolitan Ring Road.

It’s believed a black Holden Statesman changed lanes, colliding with a Mack tip truck.

As a result, the Holden has moved to the far right lanes of the road, striking a concrete barrier.

A silver Holden Statesman then had to take evasive action however collided with the black Statesman.

The male driver of the black Statesman, male driver of the tip truck, female driver of the silver Statesman and two passengers in the black Statesman were all uninjured.

Police from Greensborough Highway Patrol are investigating the collision and are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.

They are also particularly keen to speak to any motorists who may have captured dashcam vision of the collision.
