Police appeal for public help: Armed robbery, Park Avenue

Rockhampton detectives are seeking public assistance following the armed robbery of a man in Park Avenue last week.

Initial investigations indicate around 11.30pm on Friday, March 3, a 73-year-old man was sitting in his car at a park along Glenmore Street when he was approached by two people unknown to him.

An altercation ensued, before one of the people produced a knife and stole the man's keys.

The two people then left the scene on foot towards Knight Street in Park Avenue.

A 73-year-old Koongal man sustained facial injuries in the incident and was transported to Rockhampton Base Hospital for treatment.

Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with dashcam vision from Glenmore Road between 11pm and 11.45pm to come forward.

Investigations are continuing.
