Police appeal for public help: Fatal traffic crash, Rocklea

A woman has died in hospital following a traffic crash in Rocklea on Saturday, May 1.

Initial investigations suggest a white Ford Ranger utility and a silver Toyota Corolla sedan collided at the intersection of Granard Road and Beaudesert Road at around 1am.

The driver of the Corolla, a 54-year-old man, and his 85-year-old female passenger were transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital for treatment.

The woman passed away in hospital this morning as a result of her injuries.

The driver of the ute, a 39-year-old man, was not physically injured as a result of the crash.

The Forensic Crash Unit is appealing for anyone who was travelling along Granard Road or Beaudesert Road around the time of the crash and may have dashcam or anyone who witnessed the incident to contact police.
