Police appeal for vision from weekend incidents, South Australia

Police appeal for any public vision from mobile phones or dash-cam following two serious incidents over the weekend at Parafield Gardens and Hindley Street in the city.

At 12.40am, Saturday 29 June, police were called to a licensed premises on Martins Road after reports of an alleged assault outside the venue.

On arrival, police patrols located a man with serious injuries being assisted by members of the public, ambulance officers treated the 46-year-old man from the northern suburbs at the scene, before conveying him to the Royal Adelaide Hospital in a critical condition. Sadly the man later died in hospital.

About 4.20am, Sunday 30 June a patrol was flagged down by a victim who had been assaulted moments earlier. The man received a serious laceration to the throat which requires surgery. Police believe the assault has taken place on Hindley Street near Bank Street. The 25-year-old man remains in hospital in a stable condition.
