Police appeal for witnesses after armed robbery - West Tamworth

Police are investigating the armed robbery of a man in West Tamworth yesterday.

About 7pm, a 23-year-old man was walking to his vehicle parked at a unit complex on Cossa Street when he was approached by four unknown males.

One of the males allegedly pushed him, causing him to fall to the ground, while another male allegedly threatened him with a knife.

The men allegedly took his car keys and wallet before they ran away through the unit car park.

The 23-year-old man did not sustain any injuries.

Officers attached to Oxley Police District attended and commenced an investigation into the incident.

The four men, all described as being Aboriginal/ Torres Strait Islander in appearance, remain outstanding.

One is described as having a slim build and short black hair, aged between 20-25. He was last seen wearing a dark blue hoodie with white writing and a circular motif on the front and long black pants.

The second male is described as having slim build, scruffy beard with black wavy hair, also aged between 20-25. He was last seen wearing a black short sleeved t-shirt.

The third male is described as having a slim build, also aged between 20-25 and was last seen wearing a black shirt.

The last male is described as having a solid build, with short hair and aged between 30-40.
