Mill Park Serious Crime Taskforce detectives are appealing for witnesses following an aggravated burglary in Preston yesterday, Victoria Police say.
It is believed the 87-year-old victim was leaving her home at about 8.30am when an unknown offender has forced her back inside and threatened her with a firearm and a knife.
Once inside, the offender has assaulted the victim and stole cash and jewellery, which he stuffed into a supermarket bag.
The male is described as being in his early 30’s and of thin build, wearing a black hat with a short brim, black top and pants and is believed to have a slight accent.
