Police appeal to find 80-year-old man missing from Roseville

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate an elderly man missing from the North Shore area.

Anthony Mitchell, aged 80, was last seen when he left his home in Roseville about 5.40pm yesterday (Friday 20 May 2022).

When he failed to return home, officers from North Shore Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Inquiries have established that at 10pm (Friday 20 May 2022) Mr Mitchell was seen exiting Gordon Railway Station and walking along Werona Avenue, Gordon.

Police and family have concerns for Mr Mitchell's welfare due to him living with dementia.

Mr Mitchell is described as being of Caucasian appearance with balding grey hair, 170-175cm tall, thin build and clean shaven.

He was wearing a black and white chequered flannel jacket with large white collar, black pants, black shoes and a black umbrella.

Mr Mitchell is known to travel on the rail network.
