Police appeal to find elderly man missing from Surry Hills

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate an elderly man last seen in central Sydney.

Vasilios Karahalios, also known as ‘Bill’, aged 88, was last seen at a home on Crown Street, Surry Hills, about 6.45am today (Sunday 13 June 2021).

Officers from Surry Hills Police Area Command were notified and commenced an investigation into his whereabouts.

Police and family hold concerns for his welfare as he lives with dementia and requires medication.

Bill is described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, about 170cm – 175cm tall, of thin build with white hair and a moustache. He was last seen wearing grey tracksuit pants and a blue and brown striped pyjama top.
