Police appeal to find man missing from Blue Mountains 20 January

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man missing from the Blue Mountains.

Michael Morell, aged 47, was last seen at Hillview Road, Katoomba, about 8.30am Wednesday (18 January 2023).

When he failed to return home and could not be contacted, officers from Blue Mountains Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Concerns are held for Michael's welfare due medical conditions that require ongoing treatment.

He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 175cm tall, of thin build, with black/grey hair, and a grey beard.

He was last seen wearing a grey jumper and pants, black shoes and carrying a white shopping bag.

He is known to frequent The Rocks, Darling Harbour, Coogee, Marrickville and Katoomba areas.

Inquiries suggest he may be in the Parramatta area.
