Police appeal to find man missing from Hurstville

Police are appealing for public assistance to help find a man missing in Sydney's south.

Brian Walters, aged 76, was last seen at an aged care facility on The Mall at South Hurstville about 9am today (Tuesday 15 December 2020), before going for his daily walk.

When he failed to return, officers from St George Police Area Command were notified about 2.45pm.

Despite an extensive search of the area, Mr Walters could not be located.

Family and police hold concerns for his welfare due pre-existing medical conditions.

Mr Walters is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 180cm tall, of slim build, with thinning hair. He walks unaided, with a slight limp.

He was last seen wearing a navy tracksuit and black shoes.

Mr Walters previously resided in the Eastern Suburbs area and may be travelling on public transport.

Anyone who sees Mr Walters or had information about his whereabout is urged to contact police immediately.
