Police appeal to find man missing from Marrickville

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man missing from Sydney's Inner West.

Werner Schumacher, aged 79, was last seen at his home on Glen Street, Marrickville, about 11.30am yesterday (Sunday 20 October 2019).

Officers from Inner West Police Area Command were notified and have commenced an investigation.

Family and police hold concern for his welfare due to a medical condition.

Werner is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 175cm tall, of thin build with grey hair.

He was last seen wearing a blue jumper with a kangaroo emblem on the front, grey pants and black shoes. He is known to frequent the general Marrickville and Newtown areas.
