Police appeal to find missing Lake Macquarie man

Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate a missing Lake Macquarie man.

Patrick Thaidy, aged 59, was last seen at his home in Delasala Drive, Macquarie Hills, about midnight this morning (Wednesday 22 April 2020).

When he failed to return home, officers from Lake Macquarie Police District were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Family and police hold concerns for his welfare as he suffers from a number of health conditions, including dementia; he may appear disoriented to members of the public.

He is described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, approximately 180cm tall, with slim build, thin grey hair and a short grey beard. He walks with a stoop and is frail.

Patrick was last seen wearing black tracksuit pants, and a white t-shirt under a black and white speckled hoodie.

Anyone who has seen Patrick or knows of his whereabouts is urged to contact police.
