Police appeal to find missing man at Blue Mountains 26 March

Police are appealing for public information to find a man missing from the Blue Mountains.

Michael Morrell, aged 45, was last seen about 10am yesterday (Thursday 25 March 2021) in the Katoomba CBD. He was due to return home to Wentworth Falls at 2pm but failed to do so.

Family members contacted officers from Blue Mountains Police Area Command, who commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Police and family have concerns for Mr Morrell's welfare as he has a physical disability which affects his movement and has limited communication skills.

He is known to frequent the rail network and travel outside of the Blue Mountains area to Sydney city.

Michael is described as being of a Caucasian appearance, about 170cm tall, of thin build, with brown short hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing grey skivvy shirt. Blue tracksuit pants and carrying an orange backpack.

Police are urging anyone with information about his whereabouts to contact Blue Mountains Police Area Command or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
