Police appeal to locate elderly man missing from Sydney's west

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man missing from Sydney's west.

Vlada Popovic, aged 85, was last seen leaving an address in Hargrave Road, Auburn about 10.45am this morning (Thursday 23 December 2021).

Officers attached to Auburn Police Area Command were notified and have been conducting inquiries into his whereabouts.

Police and family hold concerns for Vlada's welfare due to his age and a medical condition requiring treatment.

Vlada is described as being of Caucasian appearance, between 165cm – 170cm tall, of thin build with short grey hair and brown eyes.

He was last seen wearing a black jumper and grey tracksuit pants. Police believe he was carrying a pink plastic shopping bag.

Vlada is known to frequent the Eastlakes shopping centre and the Mascot, Alexandria and Rosebery areas. Police believe he might be in the area around Rookwood Cemetery.

As inquiries continue, anyone who may have seen Vlada or has information on his whereabouts is urged to contact Auburn Police Area Command or Crime Stoppers 1800 333 000.
