Police appeal to locate elderly man missing from Doonside

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate an elderly man missing from Sydney's west.

Alfio Buda, aged 83, was last seen leaving his home on Ellalong Place, Doonside, about 1pm on Tuesday 26 April 2022.

When he failed to return home, police were notified, and officers from Blacktown Police Area Command commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Police and family have concerns for Alfio's welfare due to his age and pre-existing medical conditions.

Alfio is described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, thin build, about 160cm tall, short grey hair receding at the front.

He was last seen wearing a purple zip up cardigan, brown pants and navy-blue slippers.

Alfio may be travelling in his vehicle, a dark green Holden Commodore, with NSW registration AH89LW (NSW).

He is known to frequent the Doonside and Blacktown areas.

Anyone with information regarding Alfio's whereabouts is urged to contact either Blacktown Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
