Police appeal to locate girl missing from state's northwest

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a girl missing from the state's northwest.

Sophia Solomon-Ward, aged 14, was last seen at home in Inverell, about 7pm yesterday (Wednesday 2 November 2022).

When she could not be located, officers attached to New England Police District were notified and commenced inquiries into her whereabouts.

Sophia is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 150cm tall, of thin build and has long blonde/brown hair.

She was last seen wearing a green/black 'Nike' shirt and was carrying a small cream handbag covered with elephants.

Police and family hold serious concerns for her welfare due to her young age.
