Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man missing from Mayfield.
John Duke, aged 59, was last seen at a home on Fawcett Street, Mayfield, about 5am on Saturday 15 November 2025.
Officers attached to the Newcastle City Police District were notified yesterday (Sunday 16 November 2025), and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.
Police and family hold concerns for John's welfare due a medical condition.
John is described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, 175cm tall, with a medium build, tanned complexion, long dark scruffy hair, patchy facial hair (balding on right side of his face). When last seen he was wearing a black shirt, black jeans, a camouflage-coloured cowboy hat and his right arm is in a brace.
John is known to frequent the Mayfield retail area.
