Police Appeal To Locate Man Missing From Bangalow

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man missing from the State's north.

Samuel Glencross, aged 85, was last seen on Byron Street, Bangalow, about 4.30pm today (Friday 27 March 2026).

When he could not be located or contacted, officers attached to Tweed/Byron Police District were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Police and family have concerns for Samuel's welfare as he lives with dementia.

Samuel is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 170cm tall, with a medium build, a grey beard, and short grey hair. He also has an Irish accent and can refer to himself as 'Jimmy'.

He was last seen wearing a light blue striped polo shirt, light grey pants, and shoes.

Samuel is known to frequent the Bangalow Central Business District and Lismore area.
