Police Appeal To Locate Man Missing From Wollongong 8 June

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man reported missing from the Illawarra region.

Jijo Thomas, aged 45, was last seen on Parkinson Street, Wollongong on the evening of Friday 5 June 2026.

When he could not be located, officers attached to Lake Illawarra Police District were notified today (Monday 8 June 2026) and officers from Wollongong Police District commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Police and family hold concerns for his welfare.

Jijo is described as being of Indian/Sub-continental appearance, about 180cm tall with a medium build, black hair and a moustache.

He was last seen wearing a navy-blue jacket, light blue/teal tshirt, dark navy pants, and Nike sneakers.

Initial inquiries indicate he may have been in the Coledale, Wombarra, Mangerton, Mount St Thomas and Mount Keira areas.

Jijo is known to frequent the Wollongong CBD.
