Police appeal to locate man missing from Plumpton

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man missing from Sydney's west.

Gregory James Smith, aged 56, was last seen leaving a home at Jersey Road, Plumpton, about 6pm last Saturday (14 August 2021).

He was reported missing to officers from Mt Druitt Police Area Command on Monday (16 August 2021) by friends.

Officers subsequently commenced inquiries to find Mr Smith; however, have been unable to locate him.

Police and family hold concerns for Mr Smith as his disappearance is out of character.

Mr Smith is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 190cm tall, of a slim build, with a long grey beard and balding.

He was last seen wearing grey tracksuit pants, a dark-coloured jacket with "Toyota" written across the chest and sneakers.

He is known to frequent the Guildford, Fairfield, Bankstown, Campbelltown and Doonside areas.

Anyone who sees Mr Smith is urged to contact police immediately.
