Police appeal to locate man missing from Prairiewood

Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate a man missing from Sydney's west.

Hormiz Yousif, aged 90, was last seen at Prairie Vale Road, Prairiewood, about 2.10pm today (Friday 4 February 2022).

Officers attached to Fairfield Police Area Command were notified and have commenced inquiries to locate him.

Police and family hold serious concerns for Hormiz's welfare as he lives with dementia and has a number of medical conditions.

Hormiz is described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, about 180cm tall, medium build grey hair and a grey beard.

He was last seen wearing a black jacket, brown pants, brown shoes and pushing a blue trolly bag.

Hormiz is known to frequent the Prairiewood, Bosley Park and Fairfield areas.

Anyone with information about Hormiz's whereabouts is urged to contact Blacktown Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
