Police Appeal To Locate Man Missing From Bowral

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man missing from the Southern Highlands area.

Gerard Vanden-Oever, aged 89, was last seen on Old South Road, Bowral, around 10.00am this morning (Wednesday 19 November 2025).

When he failed to return home and could not be contacted, officers attached to The Hume Police District were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Police hold concerns for Gerard's welfare.

Gerard is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 175cm tall, of thin build, with a tanned complexion, with short grey hair and brown coloured eyes.

He was last seen wearing a dark jumper, long brown pants and a brown brim hat.

Gerard is believed to driving a brown/grey Mitsubishi Outlander SUV with NSW registration
