Police appeal to locate man missing from Quakers Hill

Police are seeking community assistance to locate a man missing from Sydney's west.

Wayne McKean, aged 63, was last seen around 5.00pm on Wednesday 23 September 2020 after visiting a family member at Hillcrest Road, Quakers Hill.

When it was time for him to go home with other family members, it was noticed he had gone missing.

He was reported missing to officers from Quakers Hill Police Area Command who commenced a search for him.

Police and family members have concerns for Wayne's welfare due to his disappearance being out of character and the fact he is not very familiar with his surroundings and may try and walk home.

Wayne is described as being of Caucasian appearance, 180cm tall, short grey hair, slim build. He was last seen wearing a yellow hi-viz hooded jumper, black pants, a cap and blue shoes.

He has a tattoo on his left hand.

Wayne does not like to catch trains by himself and is likely to stop and talk to people.
