Police Appeal To Locate Man Missing From Taren Point

Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate a man missing from Sydney's south.

Hafiz Mashood, aged 26, was last seen on Taren Point Road, near Holt Road, Taren Point, about 1.15am on Friday 13 February 2026.

Officers attached to Liverpool City Police Area Command were notified on Tuesday 17 February 2026, before the matter was transferred to Sutherland Shire Police Area Command for ongoing inquiries.

Police hold concerns for Hafiz's welfare.

Hafiz is described as being of Indian/Sub Continental appearance, about 170cm - 175cm tall, of thin build, with short black hair and brown eyes.

He was last seen wearing a black hooded jumper, blue shorts, blue thongs and carrying a large light tan coloured backpack.

Hafiz is believed to frequent the Granville, Liverpool, Otford, Sutherland Shire and Nepean areas.
