Police appeal to locate man missing in St Ives

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate an elderly man missing from Sydney's north west.

David Cleland, aged 70, was last seen walking on Mona Vale Road, St Ives, about 5.30pm today (Tuesday 2 August 2022).

When he could not be located, police attached to Ku-Ring-Gai Police Area Command commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Police and family hold serious concerns for David's welfare as he lives with dementia.

David is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 170cm tall, with a slim build with grey hair.

He was last seen wearing a grey jacket with golden coloured pants and black runners.
