Police appeal to locate man missing near Tamworth

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man missing in the state's north.

Garry Thornton, aged 38, was last seen at a home on Morning View Close, Quirindi, south of Tamworth, about 9.30pm yesterday (Friday 17 January 2020).

He left in a 2017 silver Toyota Kluger with NSW registration GRT-581, and has not been heard from or seen since.

Concerned family members later reported him missing to police and officers from Oxley Police District commenced inquiries to locate him

Family and police hold concerns for Garry's welfare and are appealing for public assistance to locate him.

Garry is described as being of Caucasian appearance, with a large build and brown hair.

Officers from Oxley Police District urge anyone who sees Garry to contact Tamworth Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
