Police appeal to locate missing boy at Fairfield

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a boy missing from Sydney's west.

Awab Farhan, aged 11, was last seen at Fairfield Park on Vine Street, Fairfield, about 9pm yesterday (Sunday 16 January 2022).

He was reported missing to officers from Fairfield City Police Area Command when he failed to return home or back to the park.

Police and family hold concern for his welfare due to his age and medical conditions that require treatment.

Awab is described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, about 175cm tall, of thin build with short black hair. He was last seen wearing a maroon short sleeve Puma t-shirt and grey track pants.

Awab was riding an Orange BMX bike at the time, however, may utilise the public transport network.

He is known to frequent the areas of Carramar, Fairfield, Parramatta, King Park in Merrylands and Granville Park.
