Police appeal to locate missing boys - Mascot

Police are appealing for information to locate two boys missing from Mascot.

Michael and Joseph Salafia – aged 14 and 11 respectively – were last seen leaving a hotel on Baxter Road, Mascot, just after 6.30pm tonight (Sunday 12 September 2021).

Officers from South Sydney Police Area Command were notified and despite an extensive search of the area, were unable to locate the pair.

Police and family have concerns for their welfare due to their young age.

Michael is described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, about 175 cm tall of slim build, with short dark hair. He was last seen wearing a white 'Nike' hooded jumper, white shorts, and 'Nike' shoes.

Joseph is described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, about 160 cm tall of slim build, with short dark hair. He was last seen wearing a navy hooded jumper, blue shorts, and white 'Nike' shoes.

They were recently residing in the Riverina region, near Wagga Wagga and may be travelling back in that direction.

Anyone who sees Michael or Joseph or has information about their whereabouts is urged to contact police immediately.
