Police appeal to locate missing elderly man - Sutherland Shire

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man missing from the Sutherland Shire.

Patrick Cochran, aged 92, was last seen at his home on Rosebuck Place, Illawong, about 10.30am today (Monday 13 December 2021).

He was reported missing to officers from Sutherland Shire Police Area Command later the same day when he failed to return home from a shopping trip.

Initial inquiries suggest Patrick was seen to leave the Westfield Miranda shopping centre carpark on Wandella Road about 5.30pm and has not been seen since.

Police and family hold concern for his welfare as he lives with dementia and requires medication.

Patrick is described as being of Caucasian appearance, of medium build, between 170cm and 180cm tall, and balding.

He was last seen wearing grey track pants and a striped polo t-shirt, and was driving a silver 2002 Holden Commodore, with NSW registration JC1 929.

Patrick is known to frequent the areas of Illawong, Menai and surrounds.
