Police appeal to locate missing elderly man at Moree

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate an elderly man missing from Moree.

John Murray, aged 85, was last seen at his home on Chester Street about 10am yesterday (Sunday 26 December 2021).

He was reported missing to police about 3.40pm on the same day when he failed to return from a walk.

Officers attached to New England Police District commenced inquiries into John's whereabouts.

Police and family hold concerns for John as he lives with Alzheimer's Disease and due to his age.

John is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 175cm – 185cm tall, of thin build, with fair hair and blue/grey eyes.

He was last seen wearing a blue and white chequered shirt, a navy-blue hat, brown trousers, and brown shoes.
