Police appeal to locate missing elderly woman - Belrose

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate an elderly woman missing from Sydney's Northern Beaches.

Hiroko MacDonald, aged 89, was last seen at a care home in Belrose about 12.30pm today (Sunday 20 August 2023).

When she did not return and could not be located, officers attached to Northern Beaches Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into her whereabouts.

There are serious concerns for her welfare as she lives with dementia.

Hiroko is described as Asian appearance, 150cm tall, small build with long grey hair.

She was last seen wearing a blue turtleneck jumper with a green chequered flannelette buttoned up shirt over the top, black track pants, possibly slippers and carrying a black handbag.

Anyone with information into her whereabouts is urged to call Dee Why Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
