Police Appeal To Locate Missing Girl - Central North

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a teenage girl missing from the state's northwest.

Jakiyah French, aged 14, was last seen about 8.30pm on Wednesday 21 February 2024 at a home on Burban Street, Brewarrina.

Unable to be located or contacted since, Jakiyah was reported missing to officers attached to Central North Police District, who commenced inquiries to locate her.

She is described as being of Aboriginal/ Torres Strait Islander appearance, of slim build, about 140-150cm tall, with light brown hair and a burn mark on her right forearm.

Jakiyah was last seen wearing cream-coloured shorts, black slides and possible light-coloured shirt.

Police have reason to believe Jakiyah may be traveling in a black Subaru sedan, driven by another woman.
