Police appeal to locate missing girl - Merrylands

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a girl missing from Sydney's west.

Mary Bechara, aged 12, was last seen inside a home on Birmingham Street, Merrylands, about 9pm yesterday (Thursday 27 October 2022).

When a family member couldn't locate her inside the house, officers from Cumberland Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into her whereabouts.

As part of their inquiries, police have been told she attended Merrylands Railway Station at 9.15pm that same day but has not been heard from or seen since.

Mary is described as being of Middle Eastern appearance, about 160cm tall, of thin build, with long dark brown hair.

She is believed to be carrying a red travel suitcase and a black Nike backpack with a white tick on it.
