Police Appeal To Locate Missing Man At Tamworth 7 April

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man reported missing from the Oxley Police District.

John McInerney, aged 62, was last seen on Saturday 28 March 2026 at Garden Street, Tamworth.

When he could not be located or contacted, officers attached to Oxley Police District were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Police and family have concerns for John's welfare.

He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 180cm tall with medium build, with grey hair and a grey beard.

He may be driving a black Holden utility with Queensland registration 674 KE4.

John is known to frequent camping grounds and recreational dams around Emmaville, Glen Innes, Armidale and Tamworth.
