Police appeal to locate missing man - state's Far South

Police are appealing for information from the public to locate a man missing from the state's Far South.

Joel Janiuk, 38, was last seen in Newtown Road, Bega, in the early hours of Wednesday (1 September 2021) and hasn't contacted friends or family since.

Police and Joel's family hold concerns for his welfare as this is out of character and he has a medical condition.

Joel is described as Caucasian in appearance, about 170-175cm tall and with a slim build. He has red hair and freckles, as well as a goatee with two plaits.

He was last seen wearing camouflage pants and a distinctive hooded jumper depicting a Pharaoh on the back.

Anyone who sees Joel or knows of his whereabouts, is urged to call Bega Police on 6492 9999 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
