Police appeal to locate missing teen at Inverell

Police are seeking public assistance to locate a teen missing from the state's north.

Geoffrey Tighe, aged 16, was last seen at a home on Vernon Street, Inverell about 9am on Sunday 27 February 2022.

When he did not return home and was unable to be located, officers attached to New England Police District were notified on Thursday 24 March 2022 and have since been conducting inquiries into his whereabouts.

He has not been located and police hold concerns for his welfare due to his age.

Geoffrey is described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, approximately 170cm tall, of medium build with black hair and brown eyes.

Geoffrey is believed to be residing in the Moree area and anyone with information about his whereabouts is urged to contact Inverell Police or Crime Stoppers 1800 333 000.
