Police appeal to locate missing teenager from Blue Mountains

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a teenager missing from the Blue Mountains.

Elizabeth Dyer, aged 14, was last seen leaving a home on Merriwa Street, Katoomba, about 5pm (Sunday 1 January 2023).

When she did not return home, officers attached to Blue Mountains Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into her whereabouts.

Police and family hold concerns for her welfare due to her young age.

Elizabeth is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 150-160cm tall, slim build with short brown hair. She wears glasses and has braces.

She was last seen wearing a dark blue jeans, blue denim jacket and black Doc Martin boots.

Elizabeth is known to frequent the Katoomba, Leura and Wentworth Fall areas.

She may also be in the Sydney CBD.
