Police Appeal To Locate Teen Missing From West Hoxton

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a teenage boy missing from Sydney's southwest.

Darren Mallitt, aged 13, was last seen on Hallen Place, West Hoxton, about 11.40am today (Saturday 28 February 2026).

Unable to be located or contacted since, officers attached to Liverpool City Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Police and family hold concerns for Darren's welfare due to his young age and his disappearance being out of character.

Darren is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 150-160cm tall, thin build, medium complexion, with short brown hair and brown-coloured eyes.

He was wearing prescription glasses, a dark coloured t-shirt, grey shorts, white shoes. He was riding a red mountain bike and carrying a blue backpack.

Darren is known to use public transport.
