Police Appeal To Locate Woman With Dementia - Chatswood

Police are appealing for information to locate a woman reported missing from Sydney's north shore area.

Maria Maskell, aged 76, was last seen leaving a shopping centre on Victoria Avenue, Chatswood, about 7.50pm on Saturday 28 February 2026.

When she did not return to her home in Castlecrag and could not be located, officers attached to North Shore Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into her whereabouts.

Police and family hold concerns for her welfare as she lives with dementia.

Maria is described as being of Indian Sub-Continental appearance, about 150cm tall with black hair.

She was last seen wearing a yellow jumper, black/white/grey pants, pink shoes, and was carrying a black handbag and wearing glasses.
